Panasonic Lumix GF2 Create 3D Images without Buying A New Camera
The Panasonic GF2 is small. The smallest M43 camera yet. But, it still isn't as small as the NEX 3 and 5, which it competes against most directly. But, its close enough so that in a retail comparison, even if one is driven to want the smallest and lightest interchangeable lens camera available

The Panasonic GF2 is now one of the smallest cameras of its type, although it's still not as tiny as the NEX-5 despite having a smaller sensor than the Sony's APS-C chip. The key difference is in the body height, though, which reflects the GF2's hot shoe and built-in flash: features which are missing from the NEX. The NX100 doesn't have a flash either. This screen is a great improvement on cameras with the usual 230K dot resolution, even being nice to use in low-light. The LCD operates at 60fps, twice the usual speed, which helps make it relatively flicker-free.

There are inevitably shared features and controls, albeit up to a point. The integral Four Thirds Live Mos sensor has been carried over and so effective resolution has remained the same, with the Lumix GF2 delivering still photos in either JPEG or Raw picture format boasting a maximum count of 12.1 megapixels.

The appeal of the Panasonic GF2 is definitely in the eye of the beholder, more so than most cameras that we've reviewed recently. While current GF1 owners will most likely bemoan the simplification of the control system in favour of a touchscreen system, compact camera owners looking to upgrade to the new breed of DSLR-like models will no doubt be attracted by the smaller design, cutting-edge interface and pared-down design.
